This daily painting is a counter top still life at the Hunter House Hamburger joint in Birmingham, MI. We stopped in after doing our taxes and I could not resist this little still life.
This daily painting is a detail of a Magnolia bloom. A request from Niels for a Spring painting. This wonderful tree is in our neighborhood and is from last nights walk. It will not look like this today as it was windy an very cold last night with heavy frost.

This daily painting is a nocturne of a shooting star that I saw on my way to the studio last night. This view is from our back yard between the house and studio. The tree is a very old spruce that got hit by lightning about 15 years ago but is still doing fine and is home to a Red Tailed hawk. What is there about seeing a shooting star that makes us feel like kids again? And yes I made a wish. Click on image for larger view. #1542
